This is the formula that was used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries as a relief from from mild to severe arthritis symptoms: joint pain, stiffness and swelling. Although it does help with these symptoms, it does not cure the arthritis or its causes.

Preface: We received few requests from elder patients regarding some Traditional Chinese remedy for the arthritis. So, after consulting with our advisors and some research on libraries and online encyclopedias we found the Juan Bi Tang decoction ("tea") well known for centuries and proven to be efficient for arthritis patients. After compiling this herbal mix we offered it to few friends to "test drive" for a 2-3 weeks. The responses were all positive, they claimed less pain in joints as well as less swellings and stiffness of muscles.

What is does: the two chief herbs in this formula Qiang Huo and Du Huo, used together relieve painful joints in both the upper and lower extremities of the body. Qin Jiao, Sang Zhi and Hai Feng Teng all effectively expel dampness from the bones and and joints. Dang Gui and Chuan Xiong improve circulation, which helps to eliminate pain. Ru Xiang assists in circulation and helps to reduce localized pain, Mu Xiang benefits the spleen and improves fluid metabolism, Rou Gui improves circulation and directs the action of the other herbs in this formula, and Zhi Gan Cao harmonizes their actions and improves the taste of the decoction.
