Our Meng Ding Mao Feng is harvested around the time of the Spring Equinox. Top - quality tender buds are the raw, starting material for this green tea. The process uses a combination of baking and frying, which involves eleven steps ( 4 steps of frying, 3 steps of kneading, followed by 4 steps of baking ). The shape of the tea leaves is tight, narrow, uniform and curvy with a dark green color and shiny smooth tone. The tea buds are silvery and slim. The liquor - light green tinged with yellow - is full of fragrance and robust flavor. The tip ( in Chinese " Feng " ) of the tea bud is covered with a layer of white down ( in Chinese " Mao " ), and it is from the summit ( in Chinese “Ding” ) of Meng Mountain in Sichuan, that ' s the reason why it is called " Meng Ding Mao Feng ". This is one of the many certified organic teas that we offer.
